TORONTO and SASKATOON — Canadian tech companies, 7shifts and Hyr have partnered to help restaurants combat labour challenges.
Through the combined forces of 7shifts’ employee scheduling and workforce-management platform and Hyr’s mobile app, which connects businesses and workers to fill shifts, integration of the two platforms aims to help restaurants in Toronto and New York manage their labour costs effectively and access talent by predicting when a worker is needed to fill a shift.
“At 7shifts, we are hearing from customers that rising labour costs are no longer the only thing that keeps them up at night. Having access to talented, qualified staff has quickly grown into a major concern,” says Jordan Boesch, CEO of 7shifts. “We are in the businesses of helping managers lower labour costs and increase operating efficiency, while saving time on scheduling and improving team communication, so partnering with Hyr is a natural fit as it provides tremendous value to operators and staff alike.”
