Alberta Celebrating 111th Birthday at Historic Bow Valley Ranche House

CALGARY — On Sep. 1, the Ranche at Fish Creek Restoration Society, the group responsible for restoring the Historic Bow Valley Ranche House, will host Alberta’s biggest free birthday party for the second year in a row.

The historic site, built in a meadow near downtown Calgary in 1896, was restored to its former glory in 2000 and has since been operating as a fine-dining restaurant as well as a hub for local recreational and educational events.

At the birthday event, free cake will be provided by Great Events Catering, and Village Brewery will be serving its Village Rancher Alberta Birthday Ale.
