HALIFAX — Halifax’s Cunard Centre will once again play host to the city’s annual Port of Wines festival, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

As part of the celebration, the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission (NSLC) will host a series of events and tastings such as The Winemakers’ Dinner, where the commission selects a different country of origin and celebrates its winemaking and culinary delights. The 2010 event will feature the wine and food of the U.S., will be held Sept. 30 and will support the Symphony Nova Scotia.

If the dinner is not your cup of tea, the NSLC will also be hosting two days of grand tastings where guests will have the opportunity to try all the Port of Wines festival offerings, as well as sample food provided by Taste of Nova Scotia. This year’s Grand Tastings begin Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 at the Cunard Centre.
