MTY Food Group Inc., has announced plans to add Sushi-Taxi and Jugo Juice to its porfolio.
The franchisor and operator of 1,741 quick-service restaurants announced MTY Tiki Ming Enterprises Inc. has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Sushi-Taxi for an expected $5.775 million on May 31. With 12 stores, Sushi Taxi is a well-known sushi chain in Quebec with eight corporate-owned and four franchised units.
MTY Tiki Ming Enterprises Inc. has also entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Jugo Juice for approximately $15.45 million with a closing date on or before June 30. Currently, there are 133 Jugo Juice units across seven provinces — 132 are franchised.
