TORONTO — Anthony Rose, former executive chef at Toronto’s Drake Hotel, has opened Rose & Sons on Dupont — the first of three restaurants he is expected to debut in the coming years.
The new eatery replaces the People’s Food diner but has a more upscale twist on comfort food than the former restaurant.
Rose & Sons seats approximately 25 and serves dishes such as duck confit with grits, pork t-bones and creamed squash as well as desserts such as bread pudding and wild blueberries as well as soma chocolate and oatmeal crisp.
The restaurant is a joint venture between Robert Wilder and Anthony Rose. Chris Sanderson is the head chef.
