TORONTO — Comfort food is the star attraction at Appetite, a new Queen Street East, Toronto gourmet food restaurant and catering service.
Owned by Simon and Athena Holder, a local couple, the Riverside resto offers soups and sandwiches, such as a Smoked Turkey and Brie Baguette ($6.50) as well as salads and quiches.
On Thursdays and Fridays, customers can take home a rotisserie chicken ($11), and on Saturdays, the pair serves brunch, including fruit bowls, omelettes and breakfast sandwiches such as the Greedy Piggy Breakfast Sandwich with peameal, ham, egg and avocado ($9.50).
Appetite is open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
