TORONTO — Biff’s Bistro in Toronto is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Founded in 2000 by Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini, the restaurant was envisioned as an unpretentious homage to the classic Parisian bistro.

“Peter and I set out to create something enduring,” says Bonacini. “A place that felt like it could be in any arrondissement in Paris, but one that was unmistakably at home in Toronto.”

To celebrate, the restaurant hosted an anniversary dinner on May 24, featuring a collaborative four-course menu crafted by Biff’s chefs past and present. Each course was paired with wines and accompanied by personal stories from the chefs themselves. In addition to the culinary talent, the evening re-united Biff’s alumni, from both front and back of house, whose contributions have defined the restaurant over the years.
