TORONTO — Boston Pizza has announced a new partnership with Hockey Night in Canada that plans to bring a unique viewing experience to the restaurant for hockey fans across the country.
The partnership launched October 5 at Boston Pizza’s more than 390 locations across the country. It offers Canadian hockey fans an atmosphere to cheer on their home teams with fun games for guests of all ages, special contests and prizes, including a behind-the-scenes trip to the Hockey Night in Canada studios.
“Boston Pizza has always been the place for Canadians to ‘Gather Round’ in their communities and no tradition has brought Canadians together better than Hockey Night in Canada,” says James Kawalecki, senior director of Marketing, Boston Pizza International.
The sponsorship deal is a three-year agreement and will feature some changes to the restaurant, such asacross-the-board Hockey Night in Canada branding— including takeout and delivery containers —as well as new uniforms for servers and bartenders.
In addition, Boston Pizza will have a custom feature on Sportsnet’s primetime show, Tim and Sid and a presenting sponsorship on Hockey Central every Thursday throughout the regular season.
