MONTREAL — The teams at Microbrewer Brasseur de Montréal and Six Pints Specialty Beer Company have partnered to further develop the Montreal company and offer consumers in Quebec and Canada a wider selection of craft and specialty beers.

“From our very first contact with the Six Pints management, we felt they shared our passion for beer,” says Marc-André Gauvreau, co-founder of Brasseur de Montréal.

The agreement, signed yesterday, will give Brasseur de Montréal greater access to the Canadian market, while maintaining its independent brewing operations in Montreal’s Griffintown neighbourhood. Six Pints is already behind the success of two well-known microbreweries, Creemore Springs Brewery Limited and Granville Island Brewing.

“This partnership is not only an opportunity to pool our strengths but also to give a greater number of beer lovers the opportunity to enjoy the products created by our brewmasters,” says Denise Mérineau, Brasseur de Montréal’s co-founder.
