Buca Osteria & Bar Brings Italian-inspired Brunch to Yorkville


TORONTO — Buca Osteria & Bar in Yorkville, Toronto is the neighbourhood’s newest weekend brunch destination.

Chef Rob Gentile puts his signature Buca twist on ingredients and dishes rooted in Italian culinary tradition. The new menu includes dishes such as risotto finished tableside ($60 prepared for two), Uova Cacio e Pepe, featuring poached duck eggs on ciabatta with fonduta di pecorino, black pepper and roasted cherry tomatoes ($18), and a Bombolone breakfast sandwich made with hens egg, mortadella, soppressata, mascarpone and salsa verde on a pressed Italian doughnut ($14).

Guests can also indulge their sweet tooth with pastries such as the Castagnole, mini doughnuts filled with dulce de leche ($9), and Pera Cotta, a warm spiced chianti-poached pear served with zabaglione, vanilla crema and amaretti ($14).
