CAMBRIDGE, Ont. — Chick-fil-A has opened in Cambridge, Ont. at 405 Hespeler Road.
Locally owned and operated by Olivia O’Brien (nee Efford), Chick-fil-A Cambridge Centre will be the first location in this city. O’Brien will be the second multi-restaurant owner-operator in Canada. The new restaurant will employ approximately 90 to 100 full- and part-time team members.
In honour of the opening, Chick-fil-A will donate about $34,000 to a local non-profit organization through Second Harvest. Since 2020, the company has donated approximately $2 million to local hunger-relief organizations through Second Harvest.
O’Brien’s restaurant will also be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that re-directs surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and non-profits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created using donations from 2,200 restaurants throughout Canada and the U.S.
