EDMONTON — Chick-fil-A South Edmonton Common opened on November 21. Locally owned and operated by Tom Messick, this is the second Chick-fil-A location in Edmonton and will employ approximately 100 to 120 full- and part-time team members.
In honour of the new restaurant opening, the company will donate about $34,000 to a local non-profit organization through Second Harvest. Since 2020, the company has donated about $2 million to local hunger-relief organizations.
Additionally, the restaurant will be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that re-directs surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and non-profits in need. To date, more than 25 million meals have been created using donations from 2,200 restaurants throughout Canada and the U.S.
