HALIFAX — Rogues Roost, a 16-year-old Halifax mainstay, has been acquired by Charlottetown’s Murphy Hospitality Group, according to Halifax’s The Coast.

Rogues Roost is a full-service restaurant and brewery. It offers casual fare such as fish and chips, burgers, pizzas and salads as well as house brews such as Cream Ale, Red Ale and Raspberry Wheat.

“We’re very excited. I look at the beers they produce, and the brand has quite a following — we’re excited to enhance it and grow it,” Kevin Murphy, founder, Murphy Hospitality Group told The Coast.

Murphy Hospitality Group operates 12 restaurants, two breweries and two boutique hotels on Prince Edward Island. The group also recently acquired The Gahan House Harbourfront in Halifax. [thecoast.ca]
