TORONTO — Shannon Mishimagi, a 23-year-old Ryerson University student and former Starbucks employee, has filed a $1-million lawsuit against Starbucks Canada and her former Starbucks supervisor, reports The Toronto Star.

According to her allegations, Mishimagi was physically and verbally assaulted by her supervisor at the Bloor and Runnymede location in Toronto. After reporting the issue to management, she alleges she was still scheduled to work with the supervisor in question.

Mishimagi’s lawsuit claims Starbucks Canada failed to make her workplace a safe environment. None of the allegations have been proven in court. [torontostar.com]
