FDA Issues Menu Regulations for Chains

SILVER SPRING, Md. — Proposed menu-labelling regulations for U.S. chain restaurants,183-pages of them, were issued by the  Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week when it was announced the industry and the public would have 60 days to comment.

The final regulations are to be issued by year-end and come into force next summer. President Obama signed the requirements into law as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
