Freshslice Launches Freshslice Cares Fundraiser

VANCOUVER — Freshslice Pizza is celebrating the launch of B.C.’s newest charity. Freshslice Cares will contribute financially to sports associations and facilitate and promote youth sports across B.C.

“We want to help build a stronger British Columbia — enriching and energizing communities by supporting local sports associations,” says Ray Russell, founder and C.E.O. of Freshslice. “Across B.C., groups are facing financial challenges. Many of these organizations are in need of funding in all areas of sport, such as equipment, uniforms, venue reservations, et cetera.”

On August 11 between 4 and 8 p.m., every Freshslice location will be giving away — by donation —personal size Take ‘N’ Bake pizzas throughout the province. The new charity plans on raising $100,000 during its first year.

Freshslice Cares receives its funding from individual donors who drop change into a Freshslice Cares in-store donation box, fundraisers, community-organization donors, corporate sponsorships, Freshslice owners who are committed to the communities they serve and Freshslice global headquarters. All expenses are covered by Freshslice’s head office, as everyone involved is donating their time to ensure 100 per cent of all funds raised go directly to the charity.
