OAKVILLE, Ont. — It’s a new year and a fresh start for Glen Nelson, most recently director of Procurement at Compass Group Canada. Nelson has launched Food Service Exclusive Alliance Inc., a new group-purchasing organization (GPO) focused on national chain account business in Canada.
The plan is “To supply the industry’s top procurement resources, collectively negotiating best in industry pricing for food and non-food non-proprietary requirements as exclusively directed by member partners,” according to the company mission statement.
Mary Brown’s Famous Chicken & Taters, Dana Hospitality Inc., Canada Catering Co. Limited, Marek Hospitality Inc. and Food Systems Consulting Inc. are onboard as initial member partners.
