The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) is putting the final plans in place for the largest industry-only show dedicated to the dairy, deli, bakery, and foodservice industries. IDDBA 2024 will be held June 9 to 11 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

The highly anticipated event is expected to draw record numbers, and will feature a host of speakers, workshops, displays, and interactive experiences with hundreds of industry representatives – along with a few new surprises along the way.

“All indications are that IDDBA 2024 will be a record year for us, drawing upwards of 10,000 visitors, reports Whitney Atkins, vice president of Marketing. “There will be over 2,000 booths from 800 exhibiting companies.”

The focus of the flagship What’s In Store area will be on many of the trends driving the industry today, and into the future, including consumer health, sourcing and sustainability, technology, demographics, convenience, and globalization.

IDDBA 2024’s roster will include 17 expert-led workshops touching on a broad range of industry topics, as well as the annual sitting for the IDDBA Certified Salumiere Program exam. Keynote speaker José Andrés, renowned chef and humanitarian, will be discussing sustainability within the foodservice industry.

This will be the second year for the highly popular and engaging Cake’d live competition, highlighting the best of the best retail cake decorators.

This year is especially significant as it marks IDDBA’s 60th anniversary, says IDDBA president David Haaf. During IDDBA’s 60 years, the association has evolved from its roots of serving the dairy industry to focusing on advancing specialty cheese and now today being a year-round resource for over 1,200 retail and manufacturing member companies creating growth in the dairy, deli, bakery, and foodservice sectors. Service, consumer expectations, and of course technology have all changed how IDDBA achieves our mission and vision, but never the why and for who.”
