VANCOUVER — The Italian Chamber of Commerce (Canada West) is preparing to celebrate Italian food and wine throughout the month of November in Alberta and British Columbia.
Beginning Nov. 7, Flavours of Italy will offer a variety of Italian-centred events, including exclusive dinners and wine pairings at various Vancouver restaurants.Building on the success of the Chamber’s wine awards in Calgary last year, guests will vote for their favourite red and white Italian wines in Vancouver, culminating at the Italian Wine Awards Gala Dinner Nov. 17.
This year’s event coincides with a visit from the Italian food and wine delegations from Lombardy and Sicily. Organizers hope Flavours of Italy will educate attendees on the distinct flavours of Italy, while promoting Italian restaurants.
