TORONTO — Michelin-recognized steakhouse Jacobs & Co. in Toronto has been awarded a position on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list, ranking No.73. Assessed against a set of 28 established criteria, including emphasis on meat selection, variety of cuts available and excellence in taste, origin, distinction and marbling, up to 900 restaurants are scrutinized by experienced steak ambassadors on each continent.
“Our team at Jacobs & Co. is incredibly honoured to be recognized among the world’s finest steakhouses. This accolade not only reaffirms our commitment to excellence in sourcing and preparation, but also reflects the dedication of our entire staff in delivering an unforgettable dining experience,” says Gus Giazitzdis, managing director, King Street Food Company. “We’re proud to represent Toronto on this esteemed list and will continue to strive for culinary excellence every day, in every aspect of our operation.”
Executive chef Danny McCallum has maintained a steadfast dedication to sourcing premium cuts from top-tier ranches across North America, Australia and Japan for a diverse network of access to rare cuts such as Wagyu, Japanese A5 Kobe and more. A central highlight of the restaurant is the walk-in Dry Aging Room.
In addition, the restaurant will open a new location in downtown Toronto. After 17 years at its current Brant Street site, the restaurant is moving to the CIBC Square office complex at 81 Bay Street later this year. The new venue will feature a private patio, a raw bar and lunch service, as well as three private-dining areas.
