TORONTO — Jen Agg of Black Hoof is expanding her restaurant portfolio by opening a wine and cider restaurant in Toronto’s Kensington Market, reports Toronto Life.
“I think Kensington is so great. It’s managed to gentrify and yet keep its independent spirit,” Agg told Toronto Life. “There are great bars there, obviously — Cold Tea’s amazing and has changed what people think about socializing in the market — but there aren’t really any restaurants.”
The new restaurant is expected to serve food and privately ordered natural wines and ciders — something she thinks is missing from the Toronto market. The unnamed restaurant is expected to open next spring. [torontolife.com]
