MONTREAL – It’s back. After much success last year at the inaugural Mouth Watering Festival, it returns this year at six Old Montreal restaurants from Oct. 1 to 31. Diners will be able to indulge in 13 oysters for $20 in addition to special signature dishes at each of the participating restaurants, Aix Cuisine du Terroir, Méchant Boeuf Bar, Narcisse Bistro + Bar à vin, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Suite 701 and Verses Restaurant.
The focus this year will be on the Malpeque oyster, lauded as the best oyster in the world. “Montrealers will love the variety of oyster dishes offered by our six restaurants; the possibilities are endless, and our chefs have outdone themselves in their quest to dazzle the senses,” Dimitri Antonopoulos, vice-president of Marketing of Hotel and Restaurant Development for the Antonopoulos Group, explains. “From sophisticated flavour combinations to the purest simplicity, there’s something for everyone. I have no doubt that mouths are going to water.”
