VICTORIA — Quebec artisan chocolate shop and creamery, Chocolats Favoris, has set up shop on the west coast with its latest location in Victoria, B.C.

Chocolats Favoris has been catering to chocolate lovers since 1979, establishing a reputation for crafting high-quality chocolate as well as ice-cream dippings made from pure chocolate and offered in 12 unique flavours, including original milk, dulce de leche, cookies and cream and salted caramel.

“Chocolats Favoris is about more than just chocolate. It’s a way to spend time with family in a magical and friendly atmosphere and to taste products that are unique and absolutely delicious,” says Dominique Brown, Chocolats Favoris’ president.

Currently, Chocolats Favoris has 20 chocolate shops in Quebec and one in Ontario. It plans to open a total of 24 locations by the fall of 2016 and to go global in 2017. The new location marks a $600,000 investment in the region, with nearly 40 new jobs created in the community.

“This new shop opening is part of our major expansion plan to achieve $100 million in turnover by 2020,” says Brown. “This is our second shop outside Quebec but that’s only a start. We want Chocolats Favoris to be the chocolate destination preferred by all Canadians, with shops in all major cities within the next three years.”
