Old Spaghetti Factory Partners with Junior Culinary Team Canada to Support Fundraising for World Culinary Competition

VANCOUVER — The Old Spaghetti Factory has launched a dish in collaboration with the Junior Culinary Team Canada to fundraise for the upcoming World Culinary Competition in 2022.

The Junior Culinary Team Canada’s signature dish features penne with Italian sausage ragu and whipped ricotta, which is now available at all Old Spaghetti Factory locations across Western Canada for the fall and winter menu. For every dish ordered, $1.00 will be donated to support the team’s quest for gold in Luxembourg in 2022, and ultimately at the 2024 World Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany.

Comprised of six members, Junior Culinary Team Canada will practice and train together for the next 12 months, and the funds will cover travel and competition expenses. At the two-day competition in Luxembourg, the team will be asked to cook a three-course meal from scratch for 80 guests one day, and an edible buffet for twelve guests the second day. The meals must include terrines, canapes, salads and desserts.

With support from Old Spaghetti Factory, Junior Culinary Team Canada will further Canada’s culinary standings on a world stage.
