TORONTO — OpenTable released its annual 100 Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants in Canada list on yesterday, just in time for patio season.
The list is compiled from 275,000 online reviews of more than 1,700 Canadian restaurants submitted May 1, 2015, to April 30, 2016.
Ontario led the provinces with 41 restaurants included on the list, followed by B.C. with 34, 18 in Alberta and five in Quebec. By city, Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary are home to the most well-reviewed patio restaurants.
“Outdoor dining has become a staple in Canada’s highly anticipated patio season, with locals and tourists on the search for the next lush landscape or urban oasis to enjoy the warm weather and a memorable dining experience,” says Ziv Schierau, head of National Accounts for OpenTable Canada. “The 2016 honourees on our 100 Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants list illustrate the diverse tastes and inviting outdoors that have come to define Canada’s summer dining scene, whether you are on the east coast, west coast or visiting somewhere in between.”
The list included 19 Okanagan Grill + Bar in West Kelowna, B.C.; Amsterdam Brewhouse & Restaurant in Toronto; Brasserie T! in Montreal; and the Drake Devonshire Inn in Wellington, Ont.
