WINNIPEG — A new brew pub is set to launch in Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District this week.
Peg Beer Co. will be the city’s first brewpub in nearly two decades. The 130-seat bar and restaurant will offer a seasonal menu of flatbreads and sharing plates developed by chef Aron Epp, including items such as a roasted beet flatbread with cream sauce, ham, mozzarella and dill oil; and the bacon and egg flatbread with garlic butter and aged cheddar.
Due to equipment-related delays, brews produced on-site won’t be available when the restaurant launches. According to the Winnipeg Free Press, a selection of 12 beers and two wines will be offered on tap, along with a selection of bottled beers until Peg Beer Co.’s own selection of beer is available.
The brewpub is also expected to offer growlers and Peg Beer Co. merchandise.
