P.E.I. — Wet weather is delaying peak raspberry harvesting season, resulting in softer, sour berries.
“If we don’t get reasonable weather, then all the berry growers are going to be in trouble,” Sheldon Wheatley, owner of Wheatley’s Raspberries, is quoted as saying by the CBC News.
Wheatly said that despite the harvesting difficulties, raspberry sales have been strong this season.
