TORONTO — Michael Hunter is the new executive chef at Reds Wine Tavern in Toronto.
“I’m thrilled to continue my culinary career as part of the exceptional team at Reds,” said Hunter. “Their approach to cooking reflects my own, and I’m looking forward to integrating my love of the outdoors into the menu.”
Hunter joins the restaurant following the sudden departure of chef Ryan Gallagher, who left last month — after seven months on the job — to pursue other interests.
Hunter has been part of Sir Corp.. Reds parent company, since January and has worked in Toronto as chef de cuisine at Scarpetta at the Thompson Hotel following stints at Sassafraz and Luma, both in Toronto.
