CALGARY — Terroir Hospitality Symposium is set to return on May 3 and 4 in Calgary, bringing together a community of chefs, producers, artisans and hospitality professionals from more than 20 countries. This year’s theme, Innovation, Evolution & Re-generation, aims to inspire transformative approaches honouring tradition while embracing progress in the culinary and hospitality industries.
“Bringing international speakers to the Terroir Symposium sparks fresh ideas and new perspectives,” says Arlene Stein, founder of Terroir Symposium. “By learning from global leaders, we inspire innovation, foster collaboration and strengthen our own local food and hospitality industries.”
The two-day event will feature conversations and workshops led by global culinary and hospitality luminaries, including:
- Amanda Cohen, James Beard-nominated chef and Michelin-starred restaurateur from the U.S.
- Manoella Buffara, Latin America’s Best Female Chef 2022 and award-winning restaurateur from Brazil
- Trine Hahnemann, chef, food writer and Danish food culture personality from Denmark
- Ned Bell, chef, sustainable seafood advocate, speaker and educator from British Columbia
- Dylan Watson-Brawn, Gault-Millau award-winning chef, restaurateur and farm-to-table advocate from Germany
- Shawn Soole, award-winning mixologist, writer, consultant and hospitality podcast host from British Columbia
- Abi Balingit, Filipino-American baker, author and 2024 James Beard Award winner from the U.S.
