SURREY, B.C. — The Joseph Richard Group (JRG) is hosting its sixth annual One Night Out fundraiser in partnership with Covenant House, Youth Unlimited, City Cream Centre, Phoenix Society and Mackie’s Place to support vulnerable youth in the community. The fundraiser will take place on Nov. 18 in the Langley Events Centre parking lot in B.C.

With food costs rising dramatically due to inflation, the number children under 18 experiencing food insecurity has only increased. With that, JRG and the supporting charities aim to grow the fundraiser to support these individuals and raise more than $1 million in financial aid.

“When we first started One Night Out, we had approximately 700 employees, which matched the number of homeless youth in Metro Vancouver at the time. My vision is that one day, our entire team can come together to sleep outside so that no young person in Metro Vancouver will have to,” says Ryan Moreno, CEO of JRG. “One Night Out allows us to have a wide-scale effective fundraising campaign, and funnel additional costs that would typically be poured into a large-scale event such as a gala.”
