AURORA, Ont. — Celebrity chef Marc Thuet will be among three toques battling it out at Aurora, Ont.’s Edward Street Market, Bistro and Catering in the second annual Epic BBQ contest and dinner.
Chef Robert Lizotte (Edward Street), Ted Reader (Ted’s World Famous BBQ products) and Thuet (Petite Thuet) will compete at the event that will also raise money through ticket sales for the Ride to Conquer Cancer, Hospice King-Aurora and a local family with a sick child.
“Last year we closed our parking lot and had over 400 people attend. This year, we expect over 600,” said Richard Arnold, director of Operations, Edward Street.
The cook-off will take place in the parking lot of Edward Street at 14785 Yonge St. in Aurora, Ont., May 31 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person. For more details, visit edwardstreet.ca.
