VANCOUVER — Folietta Ristorante & Bar — the newest concept from Wentworth Hospitality Group, the team behind Tableau Bar Bistro, Homer St. Café & Bar, and Maxine’s Café & Bar — opened its doors on May 27 in East Vancouver. Located in Amacon’s latest development, The Grant, the Italian restaurant and bar brings soulful, regional fare with a modern Italian twist to the heart of Grandview-Woodland.

Inspired by the Italian word foglietta (meaning foliage), Folietta nods to the area’s leafy character and vibrant community roots. Designed as a neighbourhood gathering place, the 130-seat space blends shareable family-style dining with late-night cocktails, weekend brunch, and welcoming hospitality.

“We’ve created Folietta to be a true local favourite, where families, friends, and food lovers can come together over great meals and even better company,” says Roy Comesotti, VP of Operations, Wentworth Hospitality Group. “This is our fourth and largest restaurant, and our first outside of downtown Vancouver. We are extremely excited to be a part of the community.”

At the helm is executive chef Bobby Milheron(West Restaurant, Boulevard) and chef de cuisine Imtiaaz Patel (Livia, Autostrada, Boulevard), delivering a menu that goes beyond the expected. Diners can expect handmade pasta, a 32-oz Bistecca Fiorentina, and standout dishes such as a bone-in veal chop Parmigiana. Even the Bambini menu gets a chef’s touch, with plates such as Rigatoni Alfredo and Linguine & Meatballs made from scratch.

“Folietta is all about sharing – just like in Italy,” says Patel.“We’ve drawn from regional traditions but added a Vancouver lens through local ingredients and seasonal creativity.”

Curated by beverage director J-S Dupuis(Bearfoot Bistro, Tableau Bar Bistro, Homer St. Café & Bar), Folietta’s bar program leans into classic Italian cocktails with a twist, such as negronis on tap, ice-shaved amaro slushies, and bellinis. General manager Miguel Arrais(formerly of Anh and Chi) adds his sommelier credentials to the guest experience, with a wine list that highlights both iconic and offbeat Italian varietals alike.

Designed by acclaimed studio Ste Marie, the interiors at Folietta feature four distinct dining areas, an open kitchen, and a semi-enclosed patio. The space channels Italian warmth through a West Coast lens.
