WATERLOO, Ont. — Trent Hilpert is the new president of Piller’s Fine Foods. Hilpert joined the company in 2013 as vice-president, Finance, bringing 17 years of senior-level finance and operational management experience to the role.

In his time with Piller’s, Hilpert has led several process improvement initiatives, including the recent implementation of a new ERP system. In his new role as president, he will assume the day-to-day operational management of the company. Willy Huber will remain in his role as CEO, a position he’s held since 2011, and will focus on strategic growth opportunities.

“My father Wilhelm Huber, founded Piller’s in 1957 in Waterloo, Ont. using family recipes, quality ingredients and traditional European sausage-making techniques,” says Huber. “From those humble beginnings, Piller’s now has more than 600 employees and is one of North America’s largest producers of European sausages and deli meats. To this day, Piller’s still uses the same natural aging, curing and smoking process that had customers lining up outside the Huber’s butcher shop more than 60 years ago.”
