TORONTO — Alberta Pure Vodka won a double gold medal for quality and taste at this year’s prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition — its fourth big win at the annual international spirits event.

“Winning double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition proves Alberta Pure Vodka continues to be recognized as one of the best vodkas in the world,” says Deepti Gurkar, senior brand manager, Beam Suntory. “Our success [with Alberta Pure Vodka] is driven by our quality, approachable price and beloved Canadian personality.”

Alberta Pure — the third most consumed vodka in Canada — has been produced in Calgary for more than 70 years by Alberta Distillers Ltd., the oldest distillery in Western Canada. It’s made with pure glacier-born Rocky Mountain water and Canadian prairie grain and triple-distilled for its distinctive smoothness, purity and clarity.

“This global award is an honour that makes Canadians, especially Albertans, proud to craft and produce such a quality vodka,” says Gurkar. “It also reinforces for us that our focus on purity, quality and taste is the best route to helping ensure Canadian spirits, such as Alberta Pure Vodka, can continue to receive accolades on the world spirits stage.”
