TORONTO — Baskin-Robbins Canada has donated $30,000 to BGC Canada, a registered charity that has engaged and empowered millions of children and youth across Canada since 1900. The funds were raised through the brand’s Pink Spoon fundraiser campaign in Canada, which took place across all Baskin-Robbins locations in October and November 2023. Baskin-Robbins allocated 15 per cent of proceeds from the sale of its newest line of desserts, The Ultimate Take Home Sundae, as well as through the sale of paper icons in the shape of ice-cream cones.

Funds raised through the campaign will go towards supporting BGC Canada programs that focus on education, physical activity, leadership development and overall positive youth development. By contributing to BGC Canada’s initiatives, Baskin-Robbins Canada aims to play a role in creating opportunities for young people to reach their full potential.

“BGC Canada is a lifesaver and ‘life enhancer’ in so many communities across the country,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “We’re happy to share a portion of the success of our newest dessert, The Ultimate Take Home Sundae, with them.”

“Young Canadians deserve a safe, supportive and enriching environment where they can develop the skills and confidence they’ll need to flourish and grow in character,” says Rachael MacKenzie-Neill, vice-president, Development & Public Affairs at BCG Canada. “We’re grateful for the support of the Baskin-Robbins Canada team and its guests who enthusiastically contributed to the work that we do. Together, we’re making a positive impact on the lives of countless children and youth in our country.”

Baskin-Robbins Canada first partnered with BGC Canada in 2017 and has helped raise more than $130,000 in funds and in-kind value.
