Calgary’s River Café to Re-open Following Flood

CALGARY — Calgary’s River Café is re-opening Aug. 15, following a few weeks of recovery due to Calgary floods, which devastated the region in June.

“All of us at River Café are enormously grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support from so many in our community and beyond. In thanks, we would like to gather friends and family around us at River Café and give something meaningful back to our community by championing a wonderful urban agriculture initiative Grow Calgary,” read a statement from the company referencing a volunteer-based urban garden.

The restaurant is one of many that were affected by the natural disaster and is also participating in #floodofsupport program, donating five per cent of sales to Grow Calgary.
