Calling All Canadians to the Miele Culinary Challenge

TORONTO — The search is on for a new chef superstar with the kick off of the first-ever Miele Culinary Challenge.

The competition, open to amateur and professional chefs, will consist of three rounds culminating in a cook-off where the top 10 chefs will prepare and present a final dish created with a “black box” of ingredients.

“The Miele Culinary Challenge provides an opportunity for chefs all over Canada to showcase their skills and potentially meet and network with top talent in the industry,” said Kelly Lam, VP, Marketing, Miele Canada. “The world of cooking is incredibly diverse and rich in culture. With a country as multicultural as Canada, we are very excited to see what each participant will bring to the table.”

The winner of the challenge will be showcased along with some of the world’s top chefs at the Toronto Food & Wine Festival in September and will have the opportunity to do an internship with a celebrity chef at an international restaurant, open a pop-up restaurant at the St. Lawrence Market Miele Kitchen in Toronto for one week and take home a new Miele range.

Submissions for the first round are due by Aug. 10. Further details can be found at miele.ca/tfw.
