TORONTO – Cuisine Canada will be presenting its annual Cookbook Awards November 6 at Toronto’s Royal Agricultural Fair. Radio broadcaster and award-winning cookbook author Jurgen Gothe and Quebec cookbook author Micheline Mongrain-Dontigny will preside over the award ceremonies. Following the presentation, a gala reception will be held to honour the winners.

Guests will be treated to a range of dishes prepared by some of Ontario’s top chefs. Jeff Crump of Ancaster Old Mill, Jim Loat of Borealis Grille, David Garcelon of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and baking and pastry students from George Brown Chef School will present local dishes using fresh-from-the-farm ingredients. Red and white wine from Niagara College’s student-operated winery will complement the meal.
