TORONTO — The Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts at George Brown College is launching its WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines program in August. All classes will be on-campus and in person. Applications are now open for the August intake.
The program gives students specialist knowledge and understanding of wine production and business practices. Graduates will have the product knowledge and analytical skills to evaluate and explain wines from principal wine regions.
The program is structured into six mandatory courses, beginning with two foundation courses (WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines: D1 Wine Production and WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines: D2 Wine Business). These courses provide the foundation knowledge and understanding required for success in subsequent courses, so they must be completed before proceeding to other program units.
Master of Wine and import experts will select wines for all sessions, curating them to exemplify the required points of the curriculum. In 2024, 80 per cent of students passed the D3 Wines of the World unit.
