VANCOUVER — One of Vancouver’s most popular waterfront eateries is closing its doors. The Boathouse English Bay will serve its last meal on October 6, according to Global News.

After its location in Horseshoe Bay closed in 2016 due to a condo development project, Keith Beitler, senior vice-president and COO with Landry’s — the company that owns the Boathouse — says that the downtown-Vancouver location is closing as a result of the restaurant’s lease expiring.

The company owns five additional B.C. locations of the 35-year-old brand, including restaurants in Kitsilano, White Rock, Richmond, New Westminster and Port Moody.
