VANCOUVER — JOEY Restaurants will open its JOEY Shipyards location in North Vancouver on Jan. 23, 2020.

The new restaurant — the company’s 28th location — boasts 9,500 sq. ft. of space across two floors with seating for 393 guests. The restaurant will also feature an expansive 2,450-sq.-ft. patio.

“We’ve seen significant growth over the last few years, with successful openings of new JOEY restaurants across Ontario and California,” says Jeff Fuller, CEO of JOEY Restaurants. “We’re excited to bring our collection of restaurants to North Vancouver and become a part of the local North Shore community.”

The menu will feature many of the staples JOEY customers have come to know, such as steak-and-lobster ravioli ($28.75), sushi cones ($5.25) and Bombay butter chicken ($20.25). The menu has been curated by Top Chef Canada winner chef Matthew Stowe alongside JOEY’s executive chef Chris Mills.

“The JOEY menu is created by our award-winning culinary team who have travelled the globe to create this masterful menu of bold flavours,” says Stowe, executive director of Culinary at JOEY Restaurant.

This new waterfront location also features artwork by a number of local artists, such as a light installation by local designer Bocci and North Vancouver artist Brent Comber, who commissioned a number of sculptural art forms for the restaurant, paying homage to the site’s heritage of large marine vessel construction.
