NOVA SCOTIA — Four KFC restaurants in Nova Scotia closed Sunday as the leases had ended in the buildings they occupied.

“It’s a tough decision for us,” Chris Bain, director of Operations in Atlantic Canada, said. “But we are committed to the brand and will continue to invest, because it’s a growing and healthy brand in Canada.”

KFC locations at Wyse Road, Cole Harbour Road and Elmsdale locations, in The Halifax Regional Municipality and Antigonish, have closed with no notice to the employees. According to reports, the employees were offered jobs in New Glasgow, Port Hawkesbury and other locations.
