TORONTO — With Chinese New Year coming up on Sunday, Manchu Wok has introduced the holiday dish, Cashew Chili Chicken, for a limited time.
“This dish truly captures the essence of this festive holiday,” said Kelvin Chen, president and CEO of Manchu Wok.
“Cashews symbolize wealth, gold or money. Their shape is similar to the yuanbao, a gold or silver oval with a bump in the middle used in ancient China as money. Chicken is traditionally served whole during the holiday and represents prosperity and family togetherness. We felt financial good fortune and the joy of family are wonderful values to celebrate, so we incorporated these sentiments into the launch of our new premium dish.”
The dish, made with premium white meat, sugar snap peas, carrots, celery, red bell peppers, onions, chili peppers and topped with golden cashews, is available at participating Manchu Wok locations until March 17.
