BURNABY, B.C. — Tony Zidar has been appointed president and COO of MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual. With a history of driving growth and innovation in the hospitality and franchise sector, Zidar brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will propel MR MIKES through its next phase of growth.
Zidar has been a key part of the MR MIKES executive leadership team for the last seven years and has spearheaded major operational initiatives through a period of significant expansion and brand evolution. His 25 years of experience in the industry is broad based and provides the team with a high level of confidence through a proven track record of success.
Over the last several years, Zidar led the charge of expanding MR MIKES to new markets, including openings in Merritt, B.C., Stony Plain, Alta., Sylvan Lake, Alta. and Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. In 2024, the brand will expand with three new locations in Western Canada and one in Ontario.

The company’s five year expansion plan includes the addition of 30 restaurants and revenues of $200 million, with an immediate growth of the corporate team to facilitate. The new restaurants will be a combination of traditional footprint and retrofit opportunities with a focus in Western Canada and Ontario.
