OTTAWA — The victory lap isn’t over for Hayley Wickenheiser and Kim St-Pierre of the woman’s gold-medal winning Canadian Olympic hockey team, who are touring the country touting the virtues of eggs as real-life mascots for the Egg Farmers of Canada.

“As an Olympic athlete and a mom, I know how important it is to get the energy I need to perform at my best,” says Wickenheiser. “It’s great to be able to share my passion for hockey with fans from across the country and discuss what it takes to succeed.”

The Olympians will visit cities across Canada to meet fans, sign autographs and talk about nutrition. Wickenheiser will be in Toronto at the Metro grocery store at 80 Front Street East from 12 to 2 p.m. today and in Ottawa on May 5, while St-Pierre will meet with fans in Montreal in the coming days.
