ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The St. Louis, Mo.-based Panera Bread Company has announced that Roger Matthews, EVP and CFO for the company, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Effective Aug. 6, Bill Moreton, executive vice-chairman, will serve as interim CFO.
“Panera Bread is a tremendous brand, and it was a great experience to work with their highly motivated team,” said Matthews. “The commitment to great food and a differentiated customer experience has served Panera well and will continue to into the future.”
Moreton previously held the positions of CEO, Co-CEO and CFO of Panera Bread. Matthews will transition his remaining duties through the end of August.
Panera Bread operates 1,818 bakery-cafés in 45 U.S. states and in Ontario.
