TORONTO — Pizza Pizza has awarded its one millionth online customer with a big helping of pie.
Lisa King of London, Ont., made the millionth order for two large pizzas on Nov. 30 at 5:36 p.m., earning one free, large three-topping pizza every month for the rest of her life. According to a Pizza Pizza rep, based on King’s age and an assumed life expectancy of 80 years, that translates into about 552 pizzas.
“This was the first time I have ever used online ordering,” said King. “I actually prefer ordering this way, especially now since I have won pizza for life.”
This event marks the first time the chain has offered pizza for a lifetime to a prizewinner.
