Rabba Fine Foods Partners with The Good Shepherd Ministries

TORONTO — Through its Rabba Roots community program, Rabba Fine Foods has gathered food donations from Pizzeria Libretto, Maple Leaf Foods and Lassonde to deliver its eighth-annual Super Bowl dinner event to more than 100 men at Good Shepherd Ministries, as well as weeks of additional meals. Other partners include Campbell’s, Heritage Foods, Bush Brothers and Conagra.

The donation includes gourmet pizza, chicken wings, hot dogs, fries, onion rings and beverages, as well as 2,500 snacks to last beyond game day. Food service begins at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2024.

Towards the end of 2023, there were 10,183 actively homeless people in Toronto. The Good Shepherd Ministries saw an increase of nearly 30 per cent in demand for meals, serving more than 1,000 meals and snacks per day. In total, the Good Shepherd Ministries served more than 330,020 meals in 2023.
