One of the first major restaurant openings of the year in the Greater Vancouver area was Ancora’s second West-Vancouver location.
The Peruvian-Japanese concept has created buzz for its ‘Nikkei’ cuisine and extensive wine, sake and cocktail program featuring South-American spirits.
Ancora’s executive chef, Ricardo Valverde, will now be splitting his time at both locations with support from chef de cuisine Raimund Heuser.
The new location boasts seating for 104 in the dining room and another 38 on its patio, along with a menu of sustainably sourced dishes made with ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. Dishes include fresh eats such as sushi and the cocktail menu offers staples such as the signature Pisco Sour, as well as new drinks, including the Wasabi Margarita.
