Montreal’s The Point neighbourhood is now home to Wellington Ash. The Pointe-St-Charles bar took over the location previously occupied by Chez Dallaire, with its quite literal name reflecting the bar’s location on the corner of Wellington and Ash streets.
The new concept is the brainchild of some of the minds behind Chez Dallaire, including Calvin Suggitt. Wellington Ash is positioned as a low-key, casual neighbourhood hub. The decor has various homey and retro elements, from old record covers as decorations to vintage furniture and a few leather banquettes and booths, alongside one or more foosball tables — bar snacks, beers and cocktails round out the offerings.
